This phrase has been known to strike fear in some hearts – or at the very least, make one feel the weight of a tedious burden. Writing a bio is always a daunting task for me and many other musicians I know. We can so easily boast about our friends and colleagues, rattle on about their numerous accomplishments, give detailed descriptions of their mighty talents, but when it comes to pedestal-ing ourselves, it gets uncomfortable. It feels like showing off. I’m not sure what’s important and what’s not, what to include and what to keep from the public…
Do politicians ever start here? Or do they begin with a hefty salary to pay their minions to make them look impressive?
