I’ve not been good about keeping up with writings, and I failed to say anything about our Volti concert in Palo Alto this past Sunday. Thankfully, a review was written to prove how well it went:

There were a number of wonderful musical moments that got me a little choked up inside. I think it helped that it was a very giving and forgiving space in which to sing. We got a chance to ascend the rudiments of correct notes and rhythms and really make some music.
I’m looking forward to this weekend and the 2 more chances to sing this challenging and exciting program:

The Not-the-Messiah December Choral Concert
With tongue only slightly in cheek — because it’s really hard to sing that way — Volti offers alternative ways of celebrating the love and spirituality of the season of joy. San Francisco’s award-winning adventurers into the wilds of new vocal music present the premiere of Armando Bayolo’s “Cancionero Amoroso” — five love songs in five languages, along with Stacy Garrop’s “Songs of Lowly Life,” Shawn Crouch’s “The Garden of Paradise,” and works by contemporary American composers Charles Halka and David Shapiro.
Sunday December 2, 7 PM, All Saints’ Episcopal, 555 Waverley St., Palo Alto;
Friday December 7, 8 PM, St. Mark’s Lutheran, O’Farrell & Franklin, San Francisco;
Saturday Dec 8, 8 PM, David Brower Center, 2150 Allston, Berkeley.
