In Lux Aeterna, (Eternal Light), the spellbindingly rapturous work premiered by the Los Angeles Master Chorale in 1997, Lauridsen created a rich and intensely moving work that sparked a renaissance of choral music throughout the world. Paired with this masterpiece will be a world premiere by Billy Childs – one of the world’s most celebrated jazz pianists and composers – reuniting the Chorale and brilliant violin virtuoso Anne Akiko Meyers with the Billy Childs Jazz/Chamber Ensemble and The Lyris Quartet.
