"Grant selected Mozart’s magical re-orchestration of Handel’s beloved Messiah for our classic holiday offering this season. Mozart added instruments normally used in a late 18th century symphony -- French horns, flutes, clarinets -- and expanded the strings, giving them a greater role and the popular oratorio a fuller sound. This symphonic and sensuous arrangement demands every member of the Chorale in this full-length Messiah -- a feast for the musical palate. This year, you can sit back and bask in the glorious sound of our great chorus as it performs this traditional favorite. " For more details, please visit lamc.org.
